Devlog #1: Your rivals just got smarter

Welcome to the first weekly devlog. Every week we'll show you what moved forward in Project Turbo Combat, in plain words and with real in-game shots.
This week at a glance
- AI rivals now see the cars around them
- They brake for corners instead of flying into the wall
- They pick a lane and fight for it
- Some of them drive aggressively and lean on your door
- Cleaner race starts and fewer rollovers
- All seven AI cars retuned

Rivals that know you're there
AI drivers now keep track of every car near them. They notice you coming up the inside, move to block or to pass, and no longer drive as if you weren't there.
Proper corner speed
Every corner now has a target speed. Rivals brake into the turn, hold their line and get back on the power on the way out, so they stay quick without sailing into the barrier.

Lanes and aggression
A new lane map lets rivals choose a line and switch it when a gap opens. Some drivers are now set to aggressive: they dive for gaps late and are happy to trade paint with you.
Cleaner starts, fewer rollovers
We fixed a bug where AI cars could jump forward the moment the lights went green. A new stabiliser keeps cars on their wheels after contact, unless a missile has other plans.
Seven cars retuned
All seven AI cars got a new handling setup, so the field drives more evenly and the racing stays closer.

What's next
These rivals are in testing now, and the goal is to have them racing you in the build for Steam Next Fest, 19 to 26 October. Tell us on Discord how you want the AI to race you. We read everything.
